Stairlift Guru is a trading name of Whito Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10918465). Our registered address is 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under reference ZA297473.

2. What personal data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data depending on how you interact with the site:
- Quote request forms (Fillout): name, email address, telephone number, postcode, staircase type, and any additional details you provide about your mobility needs.
- Sell-a-stairlift forms (Fillout): name, email address, telephone number, postcode, stairlift make, model, age, serial number, and condition.
- Analytics data (collected automatically): IP address (anonymised), browser type, device type, pages visited, time on site, and referring URL. This is collected via Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity.
- Cookie consent preferences: your cookie choices are stored by iubenda.
We do not collect sensitive personal data (health conditions, disability status, or medical information) through our forms. If you voluntarily include such information in a free-text field, we will process it only for the purpose of connecting you with a suitable supplier.
3. How we use your data and our legal basis
Under UK GDPR Article 6, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

4. Who we share your data with
When you submit a quote request or sell form, we share your details with one or more UK-based stairlift suppliers or buyers so they can contact you with a quote or offer. We only share the data you provided in the form. We do not sell personal data to marketing lists or unrelated third parties.
Our data processors and sub-processors are:
- Fillout (Fillout Inc.), form hosting and data collection. Data may be stored in the US under Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Google LLC (Google Analytics 4), website analytics. IP addresses are anonymised.
- Microsoft Corporation (Clarity), session recording and heatmaps.
- iubenda (iubenda S.r.l.), cookie consent management.
- LiteSpeed Technologies, server-side caching. No personal data is processed beyond standard server logs.
- UK stairlift suppliers, independent companies that receive your quote request. Each supplier is a separate data controller for the data they receive.
5. International data transfers
Some of our processors (Fillout, Google, Microsoft) are based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the ICO, or the processor’s participation in an approved certification scheme.
6. How long we keep your data
- Quote and sell form submissions: 24 months from submission, then deleted.
- Analytics data (Google Analytics): 14 months (Google’s default retention for GA4).
- Session recordings (Microsoft Clarity): 30 days.
- Cookie consent records (iubenda): 12 months.
- Email enquiries: 24 months from last correspondence, then deleted.
7. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access, request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification, ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure, ask us to delete your personal data.
- Right to restrict processing, ask us to suspend processing in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability, receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object, object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to withdraw consent, withdraw consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

12. Commercial disclosure
Stairlift Guru is an independent information website. We earn revenue through referral fees: when you submit a quote request through our forms and are connected with a stairlift supplier, we may receive a fee from that supplier. This does not affect the editorial independence of our content, and we do not charge users for any information or quote service.
